Tyke

Tyke is so funny!!! So, earlier today he came running to me. He tells me that he hears someone jumping. He said, "maybe it's dad with the monster mask?" (Jett's been scaring him lately with the Halloween mask, surprise I know.) I told him nobody is jumping around. We were the only ones home. Later he is following me down the hall and says, "I can hear Owen. He is talking, Mom. I heard him."

Me: Tyke, I think you might be losing your marbles.
Tyke: No. I don't have marbles anymore. I threw them all away.

Oh the humor and innocents of a four year old!

I Love to Laugh! "HA HA HA HA!" Long and Loud and Clear!

Jett and I took the kids to Chapalas Mexican Restaurant for dinner last night. As we all know, most Mexican restaurants are decked out in bright flowers and colorful walls, etc. Chapalas, in addition to this, has fruit baskets everywhere as well.

Masi: *looking around* So, Mom, what is this kind of restaurant all about?
Me: What do you mean? Like what kind of food do they serve?
Lexie: (in her "I know because I'm older" tone) Oh, yeah, I know. This all about Chinese persons.
*Jett and I exchange glances and try not to bust up*
Me: Uh, this is all about Mexican food, Masi. *laughing*
Masi: Ooooh! Ok. Hahah...I was thinking it was all about Hawaii persons. You know, because all of the flowers and fruit!

At this point, me and Jett are laughing out loud so the rest of the kids chime in thinking it's pretty funny that me and Jett are cracking up. Pretty soon we are all laughing uncontrollably, at each other's laughs, in the restaurant. What a fun dinner. I love our kids!

Soccer Days

Here are just a couple photos of this falls soccer adventures. Lexie informed me that this was her last season and I'll be honest...I am elated! More dance! Less soccer! Yay!

Tyke didn't do much on the soccer field. But he had fun off. I think I'll hold out on putting him back in soccer next year. He only played in ONE game for like 2 minutes!!!!

Happy 4th Baby Boy!!!!

I just cannot believe that my baby is FOUR!!! If you haven't noticed, I have such a hard time with my kids getting older! My baby is growing up so fast! Tyke is just the funnest little guy ever and completes our little family perfectly.

So, for his birthday we had our family come over for a little celebration. It was a houseful but the kids had FUN! Masi, Max, and Alyx

The day before Tyke's birthday we got our new puppy, Max. I'm sure this day was a bit overwhelming for poor puppy, but he seemed to have survived. He is so cute!

After the party was over Lisa and her kids stayed to hang around for a bit. The kids totally love Lisa because she plays with them...and she plays HARD!! They all attacked her and were wrestling and chasing and being all crazy-like. I think it drove her to the point of insanity. I mean...I'll let you be the judge by this picture:

That is it. The end of a very looong day. Tyke had sooo much fun playing with all of his cousins and his new puppy. I'm looking forward to this next year with Tyke and I'm excited to watch him grow and learn. He is so fun to have around and I wish I could bottle up just an ounce of his energy. I'm so happy to have him as my son. I love you, Tyke!

Lagoon...again!

So, this year Masi had to decide what she wanted to do for her birthday. She reeeeally wanted a "friend" birthday party. But she also reeeeally wanted to go to Lagoon. Alas, she chose Lagoon. On her birthday we had a family party (see previous post) then off to Lagoon the next day. Wahoo!

Masi and Tyke on quite possibly the most lame ride at Lagoon. They seem to enjoy it, however.

This is the first time the girls branched outside of the Kiddie Land rides and explored some other rides. They've always been so scared to ride the "big rides". I'm glad they did. Kiddie Land was getting a bit old. :o) The Space Scrambler was one of their faves.

We were all pretty much pooped by the end of the day. So, on our way out we stopped for a little snack-er-roo.

It is pretty much impossible to get a good fam portrait. Look at Jett hiding. The little poop.

Tyke is soooo done! And check out Jett's face. What a stinker! He loves to be a dork. Haha!
