Lexie had her 9th birthday and it's so hard to believe that it's been NINE years. I can still remember the night I founds out that we were expecting like it was yesterday. Jett and I lived in our apartment on Maple. We went to Smith's one night and bought a test. It was positive, of course, but we needed to be sure so we went and bought another one. It, too, was positive. WOO HOO!!!!
My pregnancy with Lexie was so great. I loved every minute of it. I can't say that for the other two, but Lexie's was just super. I had a bit of sickness for the first bit but after that I felt great. Nine months couldn't have come sooner!!! We were so excited.
On June 29, 2000 my water broke at 2 in the morning. Lexie was on her way! Dr. Rufi was our doctor and he is just awesome. The labor and delivery were perfect (after I had an epidural, of course).
Lexie was 6 lbs. 9 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. Bright blue eyes and dark black hair. She was so beautiful...and looked JUST LIKE HER DAD!!! Dimples and all!
Lexie has been such a blessing to our family over the past nine years. She was the best baby ever, a crazy & wild toddler, and has turned into such a fun kid. She is always so happy and up for a good time. If it's fun, she's in. My sister once told me that Lexie is going to be the kind of teenager that goes to Wal-Mart and she and her friends are going to push each other around in the shopping carts in the parking lot. You know the type, right? Anything for a good time. She is such a great older sister and LOVES taking care of Tyke. She helps me out so much and I appreciate her immensely. She is the peacemaker in our family. Jett and I are always sticking Lexie between Tyke and Masi in the car or anywhere else we may all be sitting together. She wants everyone to get along and not fight. She works very hard at making this happen. I can't imagine for even a minute my life without our sweet girl.
My Lexie Faves:
Her rock star sense of style
The confindence in herself
She's a peacemaker
Her adorable dimples
The way she free styles at dance (you gotta see it to believe it!!!)
Her giggle
The way her eyes light up when she giggles.
Her silliness
Her ability to make friends wherever we go
The "at home" dance recitals she coordinates with Masi
Her zest for life
She is incredibly creative
Her tender heart
Our "snug-a-bug" time
The way she puckers when she gives me a kiss. It reminds me of Sebastian off of Little Mermaid when he said to Ariel, "you have to pucker up your lips, like this."
Her talent in art, dance, and sports.
I just absolutely love that Masi is her bestest friend.

All dressed up to go to the Princess Tea with Grandma Simpson and Masi: December 2004

With Tyke and Alyx

She loves when cousin Ady comes to play

Lexie has always had her own sense of style. One day me and Lisa took the kids to the zoo. Lexie added some of her own accessories (which happened to be for the hair) to the outfit. I actually quite liked it. :o)

Lexie as Hannah Montana. Halloween 2007
This is the first year that Lexie got to have an "all friend" birthday party. We rented out All Star Athletics Gym on 1st Street and invited 15 of her friends to come celebrate. What fun they had! We had pizza, pop, and cake so all the kids were hyped up on sugar. Then they had free reign of the gym. Woot woot!

Allyson and Dawson Boyer. This is one of Lexie's really good friends. She was afraid that he wouldn't come because he was the only boy invited. But he did come and all the girls were SO HAPPY! He wanted his mom to stay...can you blame him. Somebody had to save him from all these crazy girls!!

Hannah Montana cake, of course!

Happy 9th Birthday, Lexie! We love you so much! You make us proud everyday. You mean the world to us and we're so lucky to have you for our daughter!!!
