Sleepover With The Cunninghams

Auntie Lisa and her sweet girls came for a short visit. Lexie, Masi, and Tyke are overwhelmed with joy every time she comes. And when it comes time for her to leave, they cry. I enjoy them so much when they come. The kids all had fun playing then Ellie, Masi, Lexie, and Alyx all fell asleep in Lexie's bed. They woke up bright and early the next morning and ran outside to play. They didn't even take the time to get dressed first. Silly kids.

To My Sweet Husband

Happy Birthday to YOU! Masi wanted to make Jett a Sponge Bob Square Pants Birthday Cake. So, I did. This is it. Wow...uh...freehand and all. I am awesome! HA HA! Masi approved, though, so that's all that counts! :o)
For Jett's birthday, Jett and I went to Sandpiper with our friends, Shelby and Jeremy Hess. We had a great time and the food is always so yummy there. Afterwards, we picked up the kids, then headed to Wendy's for Root Beer Floats. Jett LOVES them. Then we headed home for some delicious birthday cake. It was a fun day and evening.
So with that I would like to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BEST HUSBAND EVER! I couldn't have asked for a better person to be with for all my life. He is so hardworking, fun loving, and hilarious. One of my favorite things about Jett is that he makes me laugh. Life would be so sad without laughter and that is one of the many great things Jett brings to everyone he is around. I tend to be a rather serious person so he definitely balances things out at home with his humor and goofiness.
He is not only a great husband but a wonderful father. He loves his kids with all of his heart and I see it in his eyes every time he looks at them. Just hearing their names make his eyes light up and sparkle.
I love how right after every single one of our babies were born he would come up and just stare at them. Then he would look at me and say, "Let's have another one!".
I love how he loves to spend time with us. Just us. Just me and the kids. He loves to escape and spend time alone with just his family.
I love his smile.
I love his eyes. They were the first thing I noticed on him when we first met.
I love his one ear that pokes out just a little bit.
I love that Tyke inherited that cute, poke out ear too.
I love his laugh and how his eyes sparkle when he laughs.
I love his love for nature. He loves to go on drives that have beautiful scenery and he just soaks it all in.
I love his dimple in his cheek.
I love that Lexie inherited his dimples.
I love his goofiness.
I love his nose. Even though he hates it. I think it's the cutest nose ever.
I love how Masi got his cute nose.
I love that when he reprimands our children, if they cry, he goes over and starts pestering them to make them laugh. He feels bad and doesn't want them to be sad.
I love that Lexie is the spitting image of him. From the very moment she was born she looked just like Jett. I just love that!
I love that he doesn't mind that I'm not the greatest cook. He will eat whatever I prepare...even if it's not that great. He is very low maintenance when it comes to that.
I love his patience with me. I can be a big pain in the keester!
I love his tender heart.
I could go on and on. Thank you for all that you do for me, Jett. I really do recognize and appreciate all of the things you do for me and our little family. I hope you had the best birthday EVER. I love you, Babe.

Jett stuffed a marshmallow in each of his cheeks. He is so funny. The kids got a kick out of that!
I told you he is a goof ball!Jett pretending to throw Tyke over the edge of a cliff. Pretty convincing, eh?

See that cute dimple???

Always willing to go on the rides with the kids at Lagoon. He is really just a kid at heart!

Fun Times With The Wehrli's

Me and the kids went over to Grandma and Grandpa Simpson's house for some S'mores. Lori and her kids were there too. As we were hanging out the Werhli kids came over to see if our kids could play. Now, let me back up, the Wehrli's and my parents have been neighbors for like 35 years. I grew up playing with the youngest of them, Ben and Rosie. Tina and Toni used to babysit us. They are the oldest twins. Then there was Chris. April came next and she is the same age as Kenny. Then Ben and Rosie. I played with Ben and Rose EVERYDAY in the summertime. Me and Ben are the same age so we usually had the same teachers in school too. Rosie is just one year behind.
The Wehrli's have all branched out now and the only one's that live in Pocatello now is there mom, Nada, who still lives across the street from my parents, and Rosie with her husband Mark and 2 kids McKenzie and Adison. But Tina, April, and Chris came back to Pocatello for a visit. Toni and Ben couldn't make it. It was SO fun to see their kids. When they were over playing with my kids it took me back to my childhood. What great times we had! I love all the memories I have growing up with the Wehrli's.

Let's RACE! I remember having races all the time with Ben and Rosie and the rest of the neighborhood kids. So this was really fun to watch!

Tyke and Hayden decided to go over and do some yard work. Like father, like son, right?
This is Chris's little girl, Bailey. I see a lot of April in her.

I am so glad I got to catch up with my old friends. A lot of their kids I have never met so it was fun to see their families too. The kids all played so good together and we all had fun reminiscing the good ol' days.
