Back It UP...Mother's Day 2009

For Mother's Day this year I had each of my kids make Sparky and Grandma Simpson flower pots. They had so much fun painting and planting each of their pots. Sparky got one from each of the kids and Grandma Simpson got one big pot from each of them (we were running out of time! Sorry, Mom!!). They each painted one section of the large pot so it had each one of their signatures on it. They turned out soooo cute!

Mother's Day BBQ

Family "get-togethers" are the best. For Mother's Day we got together at my parents' house to celebrate all of us awesome mamas!

Boogie Woogies....Ew!

As a mother, we have to do the most disgusting things, right? So, I'm digging a booger out of Tyke's nose and I just can't get it.

Me: Tyke, get that boog.
Tyke: Ok.

Tyke sticks his finger right up his nose and tries to get it out.

Tyke: I can't mom. It's slip-ely.

He continues to dig. Then stops and sighs.

Tyke: I just can't. It's dead.

Little Trip to Salt Lake

Can I just tell you I can't remember the last time I went out of town without all my children??? So, this spring I had a hair show in SLC. I called my sister, Lisa, to see if she wanted to go. (She loves going to my hair shows.) She, of course, said YES! So, she and I went and she brought along her little friend, Dimitry, who is from France. He had only been in the US since January and when he got here he didn't speak a single word of English. But he did really well.

So, it turns out we did way too much shopping and eating and we skipped the hair show all together! Oops. O-well there's always the next one. :)

We had fun trying on hats and clothes. We are nerds.

What a fun trip this turned out to be. Jett was a good sport when he found out he stayed home to watch the kids for me to go to a hair show that I skipped! What a trooper!
