Happy 4th!!

To kick off our week long family vaca to the Oregon Coast we stopped in Boise for the fireworks. What a night it turned out to be! We were about half way there when my sister, Lori, called from Pocatello to tell us that there had been a flash flood and water was pouring into our basement. At first I thought she had to be joking. But, no, Lexie's room was definitely flooded. We had just finished our basement not even 6 months previous. Aaaaah! Thank goodness for family. Lori and Richard worked quickly to empty the window wells of water. Lori sucked all the water out of the carpet the best she could. Then Jett's dad and sister came to pull carpet back and put fans on. Thanks to all of you for saving us some serious probs!!!

After we knew the basement had been saved we could relax, best we could, and settled in for some fireworks. They were beautiful, of course. It was fun because Dimitry, a family friend from France, has never seen an American firework celebration! But let me tell you, Pocatello's show is WAY BETTER!!! I would've never thought that, but we all agreed. Poky has Boise beat. Weird.

AlyxLisa, Elli, Alyx, Lexie, Tyke Lisa and Spunky Ellie Masi Masi and Lexie Tyke Little Ellie Bellie DimitryMe and Elle Belle (she has like 100 nicknames hee-hee!)Kelsey (our Boise babysitter :o)) and DimitryAlyx and Tyke were so cute!! Half way through the show they couldn't contain themselves any longer. They stood up and got down! They jumped and shook and laughed. It was SO FUN!! What a fun night! After the festivity, we went back to Lisa's and did some fireworks with everyone. Keri and Ashton came too. It was fun to stop and see everyone before we headed on to Oregon. Happy 4th everyone!!
