After our long day in Lincoln City we went back to our hotel, popped some popcorn, and watched GOONIES!!! Jett and I thought it would be fun for the kids to watch because in another day or two we would be heading to Cannon Beach. The kids thought it was so cool that they were going to one of the places Goonies was filmed. The L O V E D Goonies. In fact, they watched it every day we were there!
This is the view from our condo. The tide is coming in.
Here's the view again but at low tide.
The next day we decided to head off to a beach that Jett found on the Internet. It's supposed to be amazing so we thought it would be fun to check it out. It was about an hour and a half from our condo. On the way, we stopped several times to check out some amazing scenery. One of my favorite stops was at a lighthouse. I love how lush and green it is in Oregon and how the trees go all the way down to the beach. There is just nothing like it!

Once we reached the beach, the kids couldn't make it down to the water fast enough! Lexie, my little fish, got there first, of course. And let me just tell you, this water is not warm. In fact, it's FREEZING!!!! Do you think that stopped our crazy children? Um, NO!!

After the kids got their fix of the ocean and were half freezing to death we took a little hike up a hill to a very impressive lighthouse. The hike was so cool with all the foliage.
Look at all the roots of the trees. I love how there were plants and moss growing on the trunks of trees.

The caves...so amazing!

On our way back down the trail we stopped to take a family pic. Lexie did not want to.
So, she hid. Tyke, apparently, didn't want to either.

After we were done with the lighthouse, we drove onto our destination. I wish I could remember the name of the beach we went to. It was amazing! Rolling hills of sand for miles! It was so cool. We walked to the top of one of the sand hills and watched the whales. We were all in awe.

Lexie went ahead and stripped herself of her dress. It was just too confining. What a surprise, eh?

He had just woke up from a nap and didn't really know where we were. Tyke got up and ran full force toward him. He was so excited to see Jett. So CUTE!

After our fun day at the beach we drove back and stopped at a A&W for some dinner and root beer floats. YUM! The kids slept like little angels, exhausted from their long day.
